Renewal of Vows

Renewal of Vows Ceremony

A Renewal of Vows Ceremony is for married couples who wish to once again declare their love and commitment to each other. The ceremony can happen at any stage of your marriage but it is often associated with a special wedding anniversary or occasion.

You may wish to reaffirm your commitment and repeat the vows you made to each other in your marriage ceremony or create new ones reflecting upon your achievements as a couple and confirming your ongoing strong commitment of love.

Many couples will include their children and/or special people who have played significant and supportive roles in their lives - perhaps members of your original bridal party, your family or friends. They can be involved by reading a poem or singing a song of significant meaning or perhaps sharing a story about you both.

How long does the ceremony usually last?

A basic ceremony usually takes up to 30 minutes depending on the readings and options that you choose to include.

Is there a Certificate?

Yes. A Presentation Certificate is given to the couple as a memento of their special day. This Certificate is not a legal document recognised by Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Where are ceremonies held?

Just like weddings, a Renewal of Vows Ceremony can be held at a venue of your choice – your home, a park, a reception centre. You may also like to discuss using my home in Mount Lawley for your ceremony and bring along up to 10 guests.

Can we organise a ceremony at short notice?

In most instances yes, but please book me as soon as you have set the date.

How much does a Renewal of Vows Ceremony cost?

My fee to write and perform a personalised ceremony which usually lasts 30 minutes is $500.

How do I book a ceremony?
